What we collect

We collect only what you type into a form on this site:

• Home valuation request — your home address, name, email, phone number, when you might sell, and, if you choose one, which situation best describes you.
• “Ask Haley” on a city comparison — your name, email, and the two cities you were comparing.
• Buyer guide contact form — your name, email, and the guide page you sent it from.
• Listing questions and tour requests — your name, email, phone number if you give it, your message, and the listing you asked about.

Like most websites, the site also receives basic technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. See Google Analytics below.

How we use it

• To contact you. Haley uses your details to answer your request and to follow up about buying or selling a home.
• To prepare your home valuation. Haley uses your address to prepare a comparative market analysis (CMA) from recent nearby sales.
• To send follow-up emails. After you submit a form, we send a short series of helpful emails about your home search or sale. We send them through Resend, an email delivery service. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click stops them.
• To improve the site. We look at overall visit and form statistics to learn which pages help people.

We never sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run this site and reply to you (such as our email provider and website host), and only so they can do that work for us, or when the law requires it.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and forms people use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your general location, and your device and browser. When you send a form, we tell Google Analytics only that a form was sent and which kind it was — never your name, email, phone number, or address.

Google handles this information under its own privacy policy (see how Google uses information from sites that use its services). To stop Google Analytics on every site you visit, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

The site also sets one cookie of its own, which it needs to keep forms secure. It does not track you.

Other services the pages load

To show the site, your browser loads a few files from outside services, and those services receive your IP address when it does:

• Google Fonts, for the site’s typefaces.
• On listing pages, the map library from unpkg and map images from OpenFreeMap.

Your choices

• Stop the emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of them.
• See, correct, or delete your information. Contact us using the details below and we will take care of it.
