Spanish Fork, Utah: Room to Grow at the South End of the Valley

Spanish Fork is one of Utah County's fastest-growing cities, and it shows in the best way: lots of newer construction, a steadily expanding shopping and dining scene, and neighborhoods with a little more elbow room than you'll find farther north. It has kept a strong community identity even while growing, and buyers are drawn by relative value and the sense that the city is investing in its future.

Lifestyle

The Fiesta Days rodeo and parade are a Spanish Fork institution every July, and the city's sports parks, the Spanish Oaks reservoir and golf course, and the canyon trails keep families busy year-round. Recent retail growth along the Main Street and Expressway corridors means you rarely have to leave town for the essentials.

Schools

Spanish Fork sits in the Nebo School District, with a good spread of elementary schools, Spanish Fork Junior High and Diamond Fork Junior High, and two high schools — Spanish Fork High and Maple Mountain High — which keeps class sizes manageable as the city grows.

Getting Around

Two I-15 interchanges make commuting straightforward, with Provo about fifteen minutes north and Salt Lake roughly fifty minutes up the interstate. US-6 also branches off here toward Price and southeastern Utah, so Spanish Fork is the last full-service stop before the canyon.

The Market

Because so much of Spanish Fork is newer, buyers here have unusually good access to new construction and recent resales — often at a lower price per square foot than the central valley. Master-planned communities on the south and east sides are where much of the activity is. Ask me about builder inventory and standing homes.
