Pleasant Grove, Utah: City of Trees Below Mount Timpanogos

Pleasant Grove hosts Strawberry Days every June, one of Utah's oldest continuous community festivals, complete with a rodeo, a carnival, and the famous strawberries and cream. Just above town, Battle Creek Falls and the Grove Creek Canyon trails put serious hiking minutes from home, and the historic downtown gives the city a genuine center of gravity.

The city is part of the Alpine School District, with a solid spread of elementary and junior high schools feeding Pleasant Grove High. Strong, community-centered schools are a consistent draw for the families who make up much of the local market.

Pleasant Grove is centrally placed in the north valley, a few minutes from I-15 and State Street, which puts Orem, the Lehi tech corridor, and American Fork all within a short drive. It's a car-oriented city, but almost everything in the north valley is close by.

Pleasant Grove is a solid mid-range family market, with the foothill homes on the east side — the ones with the big Timpanogos views — commanding a premium over the rest of the city.
